The Holy Eucharist: Shadows and Fulfillment
Sunday, March 5, 2023 to Thursday, March 9, 2023
Adoration & Confessions: 6 pm; Mission Conference: 7 pm
Preached by Fr. Ben Cameron of the Fathers of Mercy

St. John Paul II called the Eucharist the “source and summit” of our Faith. Growing in knowledge and love of the Blessed Sacrament draws us closer to Christ, who is the Eucharist. Each evening of the mission, Fr. Cameron willdiscuss an aspect of the Eucharist. The titles of the presentations are:

  • The Passover Sacrifice: The Holy Eucharist as Sacrifice
  • The Manna: The Holy Eucharist as Communion with God
  • The Bread of the Presence: The Holy Eucharist as Real Presence
  • The Eucharistic Sacrifice: Renewal of Calvary
  • The Eucharistic Sacrifice: Foretaste of Heaven
Fr. Ben Cameron, CPM

Fr. Ben Cameron was born in Kokomo, Indiana, and graduated in 1991 from Christendom College. While at Christendom, he became involved in the Legion of Mary, which awakened his desire to share the Faith with others. He joined the Fathers of Mercy in 1992, studied theology at Holy Apostles Seminary in Cromwell, Connecticut, and was ordained to the Holy Priesthood on May 31, 1997.

The Congregation of the Fathers of Mercy was founded in 1808, originally under the title of the “Missionaries of France.” The community was founded for the purpose of re-evangelizing the French people after the Catholic Faith had been subjected to years of attacks and persecution during the French Revolution. It is now an exclusively American community. The primary apostolate of the Fathers of Mercy is to conduct parish missions and retreats.

Please come to the mission to learn more about such a vital aspect of our Catholic Faith!
